The vision and objectives of the Lapland Transport Strategy have been divided into short and longterm time frames, which form a coherent path towards the future vision 2050. To implement the vision and objectives, action plans 2036 and 2050 have been drawn up, which respond to the set objectives and the identified challenges arising from changes in the operating environment and the current development needs.
In cooperation with the region's actors, key measures have been prioritized from the action plan 2036, which implement the objectives and whose promotion the region considers important. In addition, the action plan has compiled measures that must be considered in the regional land use plan. An assessment of effectiveness and impacts, as well as monitoring methods, have been drawn up for the transport system action plan.
